Seth had a MRI on Wednesday April 20th. His neurologist put on the orders for him to be sedated. So we got to the hosital at 8:00 and waited for the test. Finally at about 11:00 they gave him some gas and he went to sleep. After I left the room they did his IV and then gave him the anesthesia. They said he did great, and was gone from us for about 2 hours. The MRI was an hour long, and then he was in recovery. When they called us back to recovery. He was sitting up in the hospital bed like a big boy smiling at all the nurses. I think he is going to be a flirt. Everyone loved him, and would just stop in to get a smile. We waited for about 30min in recovery he drank some water and kept it down so we got to go home. He did great and did not ever get sick after the anesthesia. Thank you Lord. We went in this last Wednesday for the results, and Dr. Roberts said the MRI looked good. The fluid is all gone, and the schunt is doing its job. He also said that the valve that is blocked is blocked with a tectal glioma. It is still very small, which is good, and we will keep a close watch on it. We pray it stays small and does not change. He will have another MRI in November, and then after that hopefully just once a year. Seth is doing great and we thank you all for the prayers.
Sorry the pictures are so small. They where taken with my phone and I am not sure how to make them larger.
